Chief Keef inspired some of today's biggest hip-hop acts

At just 27, Chief Keef is already one of the most influential rappers of our generation. On Saturday (December 17), Spotify's Caviar listed on Instagram several artists who've publicly expressed their admiration for Sosa including , , NBA Youngboy, , , , , , and singer Billie Eilish. Keef left a comment on the post appreciating them for acknowledging his impact on the culture by simply writing, “Salute all the ones who keep it really real tho.”

According to Rap Caviar, Uzi said the following of Keef in an interview with Sway In The Morning in 2016: “I'm not going to lie: I listen to a lot of Sosa. Even in my early days of rapping… everything I listened to, you can hear the influence in my .”

“I ain't never had a role model, watched Chief Keef growing up,” Youngboy told The Fader in 2017.

Speaking to L.A. Lakers in 2018, Playboi Carti explained, “Growing up when I seen the drill and that [drill] sound hit me it was just like crazy. It's kinda hard to explain… They (300) really held me down. I talk to Sosa all the time.”

Multi-award-wining singer Billie Eilish also revealed her fandom for the Chicago-born rapper to the British Vogue in 2021. “I feel empowered when I sing songs, or like, Chief Keef to be honest, I don't even know if they have Chief Keef at karaoke bars, but I would request some Chief Keef.”
