Cudi earns a diamond single

Kid Cudi’s single, “Pursuit For Happiness” featuring MGMT & Ratatat, has achieved diamond status after selling 10M units. The track is taken from his 2009 album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day. Cudi announced the news last Friday while thanking his fans for taking the record to that level.

“Pursuit of Happiness is certified DIAMOND!! 🥹🙏🏾 THANK U to everyone who connected w this song and played it over and over all these years. I love you all,” Cudder wrote on Twitter.

The Cleveland-born rapper also announced that MOTM is now 8x platinum, MOTM2 is certified 2x platinum, and MOTM3 is 3x platinum. Cudi explained that these certifications came in months ago but his label doesn’t notify him until he asks.
