Jury selection in Thug’s RICO case delayed
Jury selection process in Young Thug and YSL RICO case is facing hurdles weeks after it began. According to ABC News, the latest obstacle is accusations made by prosecutors that Young Thug and a co-defendant carried out a hand-to-hand drug exchange inside the courtroom, supposedly involving prescription pill Percocet.
Thug’s defense argued that the rapper was surprised to find out he was handed a Percocet pill and accused the state of trying to use the situation to paint a bad image for the Punk artist.
“The State’s motion was replete with factual inaccuracies, misrepresentations and was filed, it appears, solely for the purpose of placing Defendant Jeffrey Williams in a bad light in the eyes of the media and the public, and with the distinct possibility of poisoning the jury pool,” Thug’s lawyers argued.
