JID and 21 score a platinum plaque
JID cops himself a new platinum certification, thanks to his 21 Savage and Baby Tate-assisted single, “Surround Sound.” The record received the status from RIAA this weekend after selling 1M copies across the United States.
The track hit music platforms in January 2022 as the lead single of JID's third studio release, The Forever Story, released later that year. Produced by DJ Scheme, Christo and Nuri, the song received generally favorable responses from fans and music critics. It peaked at No. 90 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
