Yayo wants to hear 3 Stacks rap but he respects his flute art
Tony Yayo shares his thoughts on André 3000‘s new flute album, New Blue Sun. In a recent dialogue on VladTV, the former G-Unit confounding member revealed that just like most of 3000’s fans, he wishes to hear the OutKast soldier actually spit bars. However, he still appreciates the flute effort.
“It is brilliant, when you think about it, because everybody who promoted it wants to hear him rap,” Yayo told DJ Vlad of André’s album. “When it comes to Atlanta rap, he’s one of the artists to really cross over. […] He was just different.”
He continued that while hip hop lovers may not like the album, they’d still recognize it as an art form. ,”Nobody wants to hear André 3000 play the flute. But it’s art,” he explained. “And like you said, people are going to respect it, and people are going to have an opinion. But we want to hear him spit.”
