Clue doesn't think things will get better any soon

DJ Clue maintains his stance that contemporary is watered down. He took to on Friday (February 2) questioning the quality of today's . He does have a few exceptions though.

“Ya'll keep making excuses for these trash ass records and these trash bars…shit gonna get worse and worse…” he wrote. “‘Well this generation'..& ‘well these kids'…if it was a sport..& The games were TERRIBLE..The games would be terrible.

“Same shit..different toilet..pun intended [angel emoji]. There is some Fire material..but not a lot.”

In 2022, Clue made similar remarks while urging rappers of this generation to write down their raps so that they'd end up with well-thought bars. “A lot of these records would be better if these rappers took a pen and pad and wrote their raps down,” Clue wrote on X/Twitter. “It needs to be well thought out and not just saying anything.”

He continued, “Some of these songs be A,B,C, and awful.. TF.”
