Chalarmagne says Cole is obligated to respond to K Dot
Chalarmagne Tha God weighs in on Kendrick Lamar’s attack on J. Cole and Drake on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” a track lifted from their new album, We Don’t Trust You.
Per Chalarmagne, Cole is the one in a position to repel Kendrick’s lyrical assault. “That’s right, [I’m ready for this],” Charlamagne said during a recent broadcast on The Breakfast Club. “That’s right, Cole and Drake, they can’t take the high road. Kendrick’s been asking for smoke for years, since ‘Control.’ No, Cole’s the one that really needs to jump out, [not Drake]. ‘Cause you said you was Muhammad Ali and you got an album coming out. You the one that really need to say something.”
