Ye was interested in Rich's album following their No. 1 hit

opens up about how took over the responsibility of executive-producing his upcoming album, Life's A Gamble. According to the “Save That” rapper, everything got in motion after their hit “Carnival” occupied the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100.

“The day the song went No. 1, DM'ed me,” Rich recently told Complex. “He's like, “I want to executive produce the project with me and Ty and shit.” So I was like, “Hell yeah, let's do it.” So we've been in the studio day in, day out, cooking up and perfecting the sound.”

He added, “a lot of the project was already there. We were just reworking stuff, perfecting the sound.”
