Melly’s attorneys say the calls are irrelevant in case
YNW Melly‘s legal defense has made a filing to have phone calls between the rapper, his co-defendant YNW Bortlen and his ex-girlfriend Mariah Hamilton blocked from being used as evidence, according to XXL.
The defense argued that the calls are “irrelevant, inadmissible hearsay,” but prosecutors countered with their own filing requesting the judge to turn down Melly’s motion. The prosecution wants the court to acquire phone calls, videos and pictures from Bortlen’s phone.
