LL Cool J to drop first album in over decade this ‘fall’

Cool J announces comeback with new release

alerts his fans of his first album in 11 years which is set to materialize this year. On Friday (June 7), the veteran rapper shared on Instagram that the LP will arrive this fall and the lead single titled “Saturday Night Special” will drop on June 14.

“Album's coming in the fall,” Cool J wrote. “It's the real deal, baby. It's go time. I'll let you know about the features in a couple of days. Tracklisting for the album is coming.”

The album will mark the rapper's 14th studio effort and a follow-up to 2013's Authentic.
