The group which consisted of Big Bank Hank, Wonder Mike and Master Gee, was put together by Sylvia Robinson, the founder of Sugarhill Records. Rapper’s Delight” by The Sugarhill Gang became the first rap song to chart on the Hot 100 and the first rap song to receive a video.
