In 1990, Ice-T and lead guitarist Ernie C formed a hardcore heavy metal band called “Body Count.” During his Lollapalooza set in 1991, Ice-T introduced the band and played his hip-hop songs for half of his set and the group’s heavy metal music, the other half. The group released their self titled debut album Body Count in 1991 and since then released six albums total, their latest album Bloodlust was released in 2017.
