JayDaYoungan was reportedly facing up to five years in prison
Bogalusa rapper JayDaYoungan has been released from jail after spending seven months in custody for federal gun charges. According to United States Department of Justice, U.S. District Judge Sarah S. Vance on Thursday (June 16) sentenced Jay to time served, as well as one year of supervised release, a $5,500 fine and a $100 mandatory special assessment fee. The 24-year old rapper pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm while under indictment or felony charges in a one-count indictment.
Bogalusa Police Department pulled over the 24-year old in October 2021 after noticing the car he was riding in had a switched number plate. The cops then found Jay hiding a loaded Ruger, Security-9, 9mm, pistol under his legs. They also found a small amount of marijuana in his possession.
At the time of the arrest, the ‘’23 Island’’ rapper was already indicted for felony crimes in Texas. The rapper was reportedly facing a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison, as well as three years of probation and a $250,000 fine.
