Back in August, UK rapper Santan Dave flew to Washington DC. for a Tiny Desk Concert with NPR. After waiting on tenterhooks for months, we have blessed with the performance and it was of course worth the wait. If you have followed Dave, or even heard a fragment of his discography you will release that he is in own league.
Dave is a storyteller, he has to ability to resonate and connect with his audience, and his lyrics move to the point that his sound could be described as ‘musical therapy.' The 21 year old South Londoner is wise beyond his years and a true gift to the music scene so it's no surprise that he's been awarded such a coveted NPR spot so early on in his career.
