J. Blige to release two films this year

Mary J. Blige is partnering with Lifetime to work on two movies based on her two songs, 1992’s “Real Love” and 2017’s “Strength of A Woman,” according to Deadline. She will executive-produce both movies via her venture Blue Butterfly.

Sonja Warfield and Rachel Ingram will script “Real Love” while Camrus Johnson directs the film. Rachel Ingram will as well script “Strength of A Woman” with direction from Shari Lynette Carpenter. The movies will be released on two consecutive Saturdays beginning on June 10.
