Baby recalls early Cash Money days

Birdman remembers the old good days with Lil Wayne when Cash Money reigned the streets. On Friday (April 14), Birdman shared the iconic cover for XXL’s December 2006 issue that featured him and Lil Wayne.

“Like father. Like son cover we did XXL 15yrs ago YMCMB @liltunechi @cashmoneyofficial,” Birdman captioned the Instagram post.

Baby and Weezy appeared on the magazine cover shortly after they released their collab album, Like Father Like Son. Speaking to the mag’s Jon Caramanica, the two discussed a wide range of topics including the joint album, their rise to stardom, as well as the departure of some Cash Money rappers like Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, B.G. and Turk.
