SZA is still making history with latest album

SZA sets a new record in Billboard’s history with her second studio album, SOS. Per Chart Data, the project has become the first album ever by a black female artist to spend a full year in the Top 10 of Billboard 200.

Released in December 2022, the acclaimed masterpiece emerged atop the charts with 318k equivalent album units earned in the first week sales. It broke numerous records, among them the biggest streaming week for an R&B album in the US.

It was promoted by six singles among them “Kill Bill,” which became her first No. 1 entry on the Hot 100.
