Young Thug’s sister criticizes clout chasers, shares his prison struggles

After spending more than 900 days in prison, Young Thug has kept a low profile following his release. This is due in part to his plea deal about the YSL RICO case. His avoidance of the public is quite understandable, considering what he just came out of, but to some fans, it is more about his next public sighting and about cashing in on the moment surrounding his situation.

Per Allhiphop, Thug’s sister Dora Williams took to X on November 7 to address such behavior and urge people toward sympathy, patience, understanding, and love rather than seeking to gain through his newfound freedom.

“I really wish everyone value the fact that my brother is human & actually went thru a lot of trauma,” Dora Williams wrote. “As did his family. If he’s asking for you to come around him it’s to just chill not gain clout. You all will have that opportunity when he’s ready. Rn, shower him with love pls.”
