Tekashi Seeks $1 Million in Damages After Brutal Attack at Florida Gym
6ix9ine has filed a lawsuit against LA Fitness following a brutal attack he endured at one of their Florida locations in March 2023. According to documents obtained by TMZ on January 17, the rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, is seeking over $1 million in damages, claiming the gym failed to provide adequate security to prevent the assault.
In his lawsuit, 6ix9ine alleges that the gym staff was not properly trained in security protocols and failed to call the police immediately after the attack began. The damages he seeks cover physical pain, humiliation, medical expenses, loss of income, and a diminished quality of life.
The incident occurred when 6ix9ine was attacked by a group of men in the sauna. Despite his attempts to fight back, the rapper was outnumbered and severely beaten before escaping. He did not have security with him at the time. Gym staff eventually called the police, and 6ix9ine was transported to a hospital.
Footage of the assault, which surfaced on Instagram, shows 6ix9ine being punched and kicked as one of the attackers taunts him. The attack was reportedly linked to 6ix9ine’s controversial history as a “snitch.” Three suspects were arrested shortly after the incident.
