Em’ speaks on recent leaks
Eminem’s spokesperson has issued a statement addressing the recent leak of dozens of unreleased tracks from the rap legend’s vault. The tracks include collaborations with 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, Slaughterhouse, Nate Dogg, and Anderson .Paak have surfaced online, drawing strong reactions from the artist’s camp.
Eminem’s longtime spokesperson, Dennis Dennehy, criticized the leaks in a statement to XXL, calling the songs “studio efforts never meant for public consumption.” He explained that the tracks were “demos, experiments, and ideas that are dated and irrelevant so many years later.” Dennehy further condemned the release of these tracks, noting that they were “unfinished material released against artists’ will and without their permission.”
Fredwreck, a frequent Eminem collaborator and Aftermath producer, took to social media with an even more forceful response, warning the leaker: “FYI to the criminal who’s leaking Eminem’s music. We will find you. Street law will be applied.” In his now-deleted post on X, Fredwreck added, “Ask ‘Koolo’ what happened to him last time he leaked. We know where he lives and yes, this is a threat.”
Nearly 30 songs from Eminem have leaked online, though the leaker’s identity remains unknown. Some tracks are demo versions of recent songs like “Little Engine” and “Discombobulated.” However, other leaks date back almost 20 years, including a vicious diss track aimed at Suge Knight and Ja Rule.
In the track titled “Smack You,” Eminem accuses Suge Knight of being responsible for the murders of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G., rapping, “I’m holding Suge responsible for the deaths of the two greatest rappers ever to grace the face of this planet.” The song also aims at Ja Rule, mocking his association with Suge Knight.
The leak has left Em’s team frustrated, as the tracks were not intended for public release and contain unfinished content that doesn’t reflect the artist’s current vision.
