Draco admits to mixed feelings but says the offer was too good to pass up
Soulja Boy is addressing the backlash he received for performing at the Crypto Ball event in Washington D.C. over the weekend, which reportedly honored President-elect Donald Trump. Taking to social media, Soulja explained that the opportunity was too lucrative to turn down, despite his personal feelings about the president.
“You want me to not answer the phone for the president, this is the president of the m***** f*****g United States. Trump wasn’t even there. It was the Crypto Ball for crypto n**s,” Soulja said, adding that he’s going to do what he wants. “I’m gonna do whatever the f* I want to do. And I’ll go again.”
In another video, Soulja admitted that he was torn about performing at the event. “I 50/50 ain’t give a f*** though. Halfway, I was like Man, f*** Trump. I don’t f*** with him, and halfway was like it’s the president,” he confessed. “But hey, I needed that bag, man. I ain’t gone lie.”
Soulja isn’t the only artist facing backlash for supporting Trump; Nelly has also been criticized for performing at the inauguration event.
