While 2Pac was incarcerated at Rikers Island for first-degree sexual abuse, on March 14, 1995, he released his third album Me Against the World. The album was released by Out Da Gutta and Interscope Records and debuted No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 albums chart.
2Pac’s Me Against the World album which featured the hits “Dear Mama,” “So Many Tears” and “Temptations” was recorded before 2Pac went to prison and sold 240,000 copies first week. 2Pac was eventually transferred to The Clinton Correctional Facility where he was released on a $1.4 million bail by Suge Knight.
