Killa Cam opens up about his education, math skills, and new media ventures
In a surprising revelation, Killa Cam disclosed that he attended private school before transitioning to public school during his high school years. The Dipset rapper shared this detail while discussing his calculated approach to his career during an interview with Elliott Wilson on his new YouTube series, Talk With Flee.
Reflecting on his early education, Killa Cam explained, “My momma had me in private school. I started going to public school during high school and was like, ‘This shit weird.’” Despite not finishing high school, Killa Cam confidently stated, “I’m well educated,” adding that he eventually left school to focus on playing basketball.
The Harlem rapper also boldly claimed his mathematical abilities, stating, “I’m one of the best mathematicians in the world.” He elaborated that while he may not use algebra in everyday life, he’s adept at handling practical finances, joking, “When I go to the bank, I can’t go, ‘Y + X = Z. Could you cash that?’”
Further reflecting on his education, Killa Cam shared how he got kicked out of college after his second semester but ultimately saw success in his career when Ma$e landed a record deal shortly after.
Killa Cam’s media empire continues to grow with the launch of his new talk show, and he and Ma$e are set to take their It Is What It Is series on the road this year for live tapings across North America. The tour will feature interviews with sports icons, celebrities, and surprise guests, starting in Boston on February 26 and concluding in Miami on April 12.
