Charlamagne questions Wayne’s decision to end his show early

A video circulated in the past week of Lil Wayne ending show early because the crowd looked uninterested in his Young Money artists. Charlamagne Tha God recently weighed in to the situation, blasting Wayne since it’s normal for audiences to show such reactions to upcoming artists.

“That’s corny. You can’t be upset because the crowd isn’t feeling your artist,” Charlamagne explained. “I’m sure Wayne has been there before. I’m sure that there was a time that he might have brought a Drake way way way way back in the day and people weren’t paying attention to Drake. You might have brought a Nicki way way way way back and people weren’t paying attention to Nicki, or Tyga, all these people ended up blowing up. Everybody starts somewhere.”

He added, “You know what I mean? Lil Twist has been there for a long long long long time, so if people aren’t feeling Twist at this moment, who’s fault is that? Can’t force things on people.”

He pointed out that the crowd paid to see Wayne and that ending the show early won’t help attract attention to his artist because “people forget what you did to them but don’t forget how you made them feel.”
