Bodycam footage reveals tense encounter with police during routine traffic stop

Rapper and actor Ice-T found himself in a heated exchange with a police officer during a traffic stop last May, as revealed in newly-surfaced bodycam footage. The Law & Order star was pulled over for driving without a front license plate, only for the officer to discover that he also lacked a valid driver’s license.

Initially calm, the situation escalated when the officer requested Ice-T exit his Porsche and surrender his keys. The “6 in the Mornin’” rapper angrily demanded his paperwork, calling the officer a “fucking asshole” and recording the interaction on his phone.

Backup was called to the scene, but the confrontation ended without arrest. Ice-T received multiple tickets for the violations and was allowed to leave.

This isn’t Ice-T’s first legal scuffle involving his vehicles. In 2010, he was arrested for driving without a license in New York, though the issue was later blamed on a DMV clerical error. Reflecting on the incident, Ice-T previously remarked, “Street credibility has nothing to do with going to jail, it has everything to do with staying out.”

The rapper remains vocal about his rights, balancing his storied career with occasional brushes with the law.
