Ice-T speaks on impact of social media on rap feuds
This year’s been buzzing about rap beef and it later got Ice-T sharing his opinions on its evolution. According to him, beef is always there but in music, it would make it a concern when it is no longer related to the music. Social media can “amplify” it since oftentimes, it ends with such bitter consequences, he further added.
“Hip-hop has always been competitive. So, saying I’m better than you is a part of hip-hop,” Ice-T said during an interview on Boss Talk 101. “The disses that’s going on, like, I can outrap you is one thing. But then when you take it to the next level, like, ‘When I see you it’s a problem.'”
“The problem with beef is that it can escalate away from you,” he added. “Say I have beef with Treach and I’m talking sh*t about Treach. I could run into one of his fans on the street who wants to get active.”
