Cole was part of Buyer Group that purchased Jordan’s shares
J. Cole officially owns shares at Charlotte Hornets. Per a press release from Hornets, Cole joined The Buyer Group that includes Gabe Plotkin, Rick Schnall and country singer Eric Church to purchase Michael Jordan’s majority shares worth $3B.
Jordan bought Hornet shares in 2010 for $275M and became the first black NBA owner. ESPN reports that the Chicago Bulls legend will still own minority shares until the Board of Governor’s approval and the deal is completed.
