Jay-Z and his Roc Nation venture have always been ready to give back to the community and this time they are helping Philadelphia students. Per Billboard, the company has established a $300m scholarship to fund struggling K-12 Philly students so that they can study in high-end private schools.

“We have enjoyed such a special connection with Philadelphians, so we’ve made it our mission to invest in the long-term success of the city’s changemakers,” Roc Nation’s Managing Director of Philanthropy Dania Diaz told the publication.

“Impact starts with the students and with awareness,” she added. “We want to empower the youth and families with the knowledge to pursue their scholastic dreams, make their voices heard and become the leaders of tomorrow.”
