Juvie clarifies that his problem is with NFL and not Kendrick Lamar or Jay-Z

Juvenile has no qualms with Kendrick Lamar, although he had earlier expressed his displeasure over the selection of the Los Angeles rapper for the 2025 Super Bowl halftime in New Orleans instead of Lil Wayne.

Juvie and Mannie Fresh discussed the issue on October 21 on Power 106’s Brown Bag Morning Show in Los Angeles. When asked if they would perform at the halftime show if Kendrick invited them, Juvie wasted no time saying of course and even added though he has no problem with Kendrick Lamar, the NFL is his issue.

“Kendrick is one of the best performers we’ve ever seen,” Juvie said. “He’s top notch, especially in Hip Hop. In the Hip Hop world, he raises the bar. So it’s something that everybody want to see, and if he calls, I’m there. No problem.”

He added: “My quarrel was never with JAY-Z or Kendrick or anything like that. My quarrel was with the NFL. They come to our city and they throw this big major event and they rent all the buildings and they don’t let the people from the city on and we don’t see those benefits. I feel like the NFL dropped the ball.”
