However, Forbes still lists Kanye’s net worth at a much lower $400 million as of January 24, casting doubt on the billionaire claim.
If Kanye’s figures are accurate, he would have surpassed JAY-Z, whose estimated worth stands at $2.5 billion according to Forbes. The two artists are the only rappers to have crossed the billion-dollar mark, with rumors about Dr. Dre and Diddy reaching similar heights proven untrue.
