Judge dismisses Yak’s drug possession charges
Kodak Black gets a major leap towards his freedom after Judge Barbara Duffy dismissed his federal drug charges, Associated Press reported. However, the When I Was Dead rapper will have remain in federal prison as a separate tampering charge still stands.
Judge Duffy explained that the court dismissed the charge because they couldn’t verify or negate Kodak’s oxycodone prescription.
The charges stem from a December arrest where a cop found Kodak sleeping inside his Bentley on a Florida roadway and when approached, the rapper allegedly had white powder in his mouth, which the authorities claimed to be cocaine.
Kodak pleaded not guilty and denied being a coke-head in a video posted online. He, however, admitted to oxycodone and percocet use.
