Say it ain’t so! Nicki Minaj announced her retirement of twelve years in the rap game today with a three-sentenced tweet.
Nicki Minaj has been a major force in hip-hop since her debut album, Pink Friday, hit the shelves in 2010. She has had multiple endorsement deals, TV producing credits, platinum selling-music, world-tours, and most recently, success with her podcast, Queen Radio. Though recently she has been in the spotlight for controversy more than music (i.e. this past summer showdown with Joe Budden), we hate to see her go.
For now, the next question is: Will she be back? I guess we will have to check her Twitter.
