RiRi’s comeback single “Lift Me Up” takes over the Billboard charts
Billionaire singer Rihanna reemerged on to the music scene last week with the single, “Lift Me Up,” which is part of the forthcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack which drops this month. RiRi’s highly anticipated return has been received with both hands by her fans, and her latest single is now occupying the #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
This is the first time in five years the Barbados decorated artist has entered the Hot 100, but it’s her 32nd entry into the Top 10s. Some of the 34-year old’s career Top 10 hits include, “Umbrella,” “Disturbia,” Work,” “Needed Me,” and one her most recent, “Love On The Brain” (2017).
“Lift Me Up” was co-written by Ludwig Göransson, Ryan Coogler, and Nigerian singer Tems. Released via Westbury Road, Roc Nation, Def Jam as well as Marvel & Disney, the song is a tribute to the late Black Panther actor, Chadwick Boseman.
