Spotify is dropping a new Kendrick Lamar mini-documentary next week

After releasing his highly anticipated album, Kendrick Lamar embarked on a trip to West Africa. The rapper travelled to Accra, Ghana, where he was accompanied by Spotify for a mini-documentary. On Thursday (June 9), the streaming company announced on Twitter that the mini-doc will be released next week.

Spotify shared a 15-second trailer along with the announcement. “First time in Ghana. I couldn’t even tell you what day it is. I’m just being in the moment,” K-Dot said in the preview. “This life shit is all about an experience and everybody got they own different experience.”

The Compton lyricist dropped his fifth studio album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, in May and was well-received by his fans who waited for five years. The album has already been certified gold in the US.
