Kweli and Bun have been working on their collab project for “a couple of years”
Veteran rappers Talib Kweli and Bun B are working on an upcoming collab album. Kweli sat down with Bun on one of his latest episodes on the Upproxx show, People’s Party, released this week, where he announced the project which has been in the works since the beginning of the pandemic.
“I’m gonna drop a bombshell, and I’m gonna let the world know that you and I have been working on an album together,” Kweli told Bun before he responded, “So we’re gonna talk about it?” Kweli added, “Just a little bit before you get out of here.
We’ve working on it for a couple of years now. We started during the pandemic. And I just wanna say that to work with you on this project, being in your inner group with Pimp C means the world to me brother. And thank you for being such a OG. And thank you for making me step my bars up.”
