Future’s majority of Spotify streams are from London
Atlanta rapper Future turned 39 on Sunday (November 20), and he already has a breakneck record on Spotify. RapCaviar shared his Spotify streaming data via Instagram on his birthday that shows he’s most listened to in London.
With 12.4 followers and 23 projects under his belt, Hendrix has a total of over 17.6B all time streams. He currently holds 39.2M monthly listeners.
The I Never Liked You artist recently appeared on Billboard‘s cover where he talked about his future, especially with his tenth album on the way. He explained that he wants “to do something I never done” which is to “make a billion dollars.”
“A lot of money,” Future said of his strategy. “That’s a lot of damn money. My main focus right now is just to do something I never done. One thing I never done is make a billion dollars. I ain’t done that, so I’m focused on that.”
Atlanta rapper Future appears to have officially altered his last legal name. An outlet by the name Hot Tones alleged this week that the “First Off” rapper changed his last government name from Wilburn to Cash. Future later reposted the report on his IG stories with the caption, “BAG SECURED. Da BGGEST.”
Just recently, the rapper reportedly bought a $16 million home in Miami, around a month after he allegedly sold his 2010-2020 publishing rights for $75 million.
In a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone, Future, who was born Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, said he used to replace his last name with Cash to avoid identification incase he indulged in wrongful doings. “So when I do something… They gonna tell the people the wrong name. My daddy didn’t even sign my birth certificate. So I ain’t never had his last name,” he said at the time.
Wikipedia now states Future’s real name as Nayvadius DeMun Cash.

What a Time to Be Alive was allegedly born out of an impromptu, six-day recording session between the duo in Future’s hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.
Drake told Rolling Stone, “It’s a little soundtrack for people that need it right now. I went to Atlanta for six days with the hopes of doing some songs with Future, and when you get around Future, it’s like a vortex, that guy can outwork anybody right now. It’s tough to see someone do four, five songs in one night and not try to match it.”
4 – ‘Digital Dash’ was the first song they made for the project and ‘Jumpman’ was the last song the duo created for the project.
‘Digital Dash’ was presented as a finished piece to Drake prior to him getting on the song.

In an interview with Fader, What a Time to be Alive executive producer Metro Boomin recalled one of the song’s sessions. “I remember, it was like six in the morning, I had been up in the studio all night mixing beats. And Drake come in in the middle of the night to f–k with ‘Jumpman. Drake was playing the new verse,” he added. “And I heard ‘Jumpman, jumpman. Metro Boomin on production, wow.’ and I knew it was going to be a hit.”

Apple released a commercial for Apple Music featuring Taylor Swift rapping along to the song and accidentally falling face first on the treadmill, which ultimately became very popular and was dubbed as ‘TAYLOR vs TREADMILL’. Following the premiere of the commercial, downloads of the song increased by 431%. According to Swift, the storyline was based on true events.

Kanye West previews unreleased track “War” on ‘Last Week’ documentary
Kanye West released his new 30-minute documentary, Last Week, on YouTube Monday (October 10), that highlights his activities in the recent times.
At one point in the doc, Ye plays an unheard track titled, War, during a car ride. On the record, the 44-year old references Drake, Future, Snoop Dogg, Lil Baby, and Moneybagg Yo.

Future allegedly sells his 2004-2020 publishing catalog for “high eight figures”
Atlanta rap star Future has reportedly sold his publishing catalog from 2004 to 2020 to Influence Media Partners, according to Variety. Pluto is said to have bagged in “high eight figures” in the deal.
The catalog contains 614 titles including collabs with Drake (“Life Is Good,” “Jumpman”), Kendrick Lamar (“King’s Dead”), Rihanna (“Selfish”), and the Weeknd (“Low Life”) as well as his solo gems like “Mask Off.”

Future also added, “I put everything into my music, and I wanted to make sure these were in good hands as I thought about the next chapter of these songs. Travis Scott kicked off his Road to Utopia seven-night residency at Zouk nightclub in Las Vegas Saturday (September 17), in preparation for his upcoming album, Utopia. That night, the Houston rapper played unreleased songs with Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Kid Cudi, and Pharrell Williams. The songs will likely appear on the forthcoming album.
