Drake Takes Jabs at Kendrick Lamar During Livestream After Legal Drama

Despite legal battles with Universal Music Group, Drake continues taking shots at rival Kendrick Lamar

Drake has not allowed his recent legal battles with Universal Music Group, which may have tainted his public image, to keep him from firing shots at his rival Kendrick Lamar.

So it was that on Tuesday, December 3, when he happened to tune in to the live session on Twitch with LosPollosTV, the Toronto rapper decided it was worth jumping on the bandwagon and trolling Kendrick.

That’s when LosPollosTV was ranting about how “every time Kendrick’s new single ‘Squabble Up’ is released,” the streaming platforms intuitively “release it right after Drake’s Certified Lover Boy.” In response to the comment section of the livestream, Drake chimed in with: “we need a donut emoji in the chat.”

Drake carried on his playful antics, mimicking Kendrick’s viral “TV Off” line, “Mustaaard!”: “CUSTAAAARRRRRD.”

The exchanged animated posts came after both of them had been beefing on and off lately.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” became Apple Music’s most-played song worldwide this year

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” diss track has taken its place as the most-played song on Apple Music all year round across the globe, adding yet another feather to its cap.

Apple Music announced this on Tuesday, November 3, as part of its “”Top Songs of 2024: Global”” playlist. Other tracks that figured on the list alongside Lamar included Shaboozey’s “”A Bar Song (Tipsy)”” at number four and Post Malone’s “”I Had Some Help,”” which had co-star Morgan Wallen at number six.

Kendrick was also in the top 10 again for his appearance on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” which made it to the eighth rank.

Charlamagne Tha God Believes Kendrick Lamar Would Outshine Lil Wayne in a Rap Battle

Charlemagne Tha God says Kendrick Lamar would outshine Lil Wayne in lyrical face-off

Kendrick Lamar will lyrically put Lil Wayne to shame if ever there was a face-off, declared Charlamagne Tha God.

Speaking about such a hypothetical beef between the Compton MC and the Young Money legend on The Breakfast Club Monday (December 2), Charlamagne shared his opinion, which pricked up ears in light of Kendrick’s being the headline act at the next Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans, Wayne’s hometown.

“Lil Wayne is a top five MC of all time,” he declared, “but he don’t want no problems with Kendrick right now. Emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, Wayne is not on Kendrick’s level.”

The details, too, include that Kendrick wouldn’t even need a diss track. “Kendrick would break down Wayne’s life in a therapeutic way-out of love. He’d talk about the struggles, traumas, and even the iconic dreadlocks.”

Charlamagne’s comments have brought more heat back into the rap titans’ rings-who have now just one official collaboration to count in Tha Carter V’s “Mona Lisa”. Fans will now be looking forward to how this seemingly friendly rivalry will develop or spark off some future larceny.

Drake Charged With Dodging Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Halftime Show with Australian Tour Announcement

Drake accused of avoiding Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show with Australian tour announcement

Drake is being accused of running from Kendrick Lamar’s highly-anticipated Super Bowl LIX halftime performance by scheduling an Australian tour that is set to kick off on the same day.

At a recent Kick livestream with xQc, Drake announced: “Next year, I’ll be back in Australia: first time in almost ten years.”

Anita Max Wynn Tour is the title given to Drake’s tour — named after his gambling persona — and it’s set to kick off by drilling the biggest cities such as Melbourne and Sydney on February 9.

These coincidentally coincide with the kickoff of Super Bowl LIX, where Kendrick Lamar is set to headline the halftime show, which has fueled speculation that Drake would be skipping out on the high-profile event featuring his old industry rival.

Ja Rule’s school project in Ghana has been making progress, and he is updating his fans on what is happening there.

Yesterday, November 26, the New York rapper shared some photos on his Instagram showing that the structure was locked and now its roof was installed.

“My school in Ghana is looking beautiful, can’t wait until it’s finished…” he wrote in the caption. “Sending my love and a big thank you to Pencils of Promise for giving me the opportunity to help change lives…”

Earlier in 2022, Ja Rule announced the charity project and shared his excitement about it on X (formerly Twitter): “I’m also building a school in Ghana, can’t wait to go and break ground… Rule love the kids!!!” complete with an orange heart, sun, and sunrise emoji.

  • Kendrick Lamar Matches Drake’s Milestone with 16x Platinum Rap Hit

Kendrick Lamar Matches Drake’s Milestone with 16x Platinum Rap Hit

Kendrick Lamar achieves 16x Platinum rap hit, matching Drake’s milestone

Kendrick Lamar’s achievement matches that of Drake in that he also has a rap song with the most certifications as conferred by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), thanks to his appearance on Travis Scott’s 2016 smash “Goosebumps.”

The track became certified 16x platinum on Monday (November 25), making this his first time achieving it with a 2016 feature alongside Travis Scott, “Goosebumps,” which joins Drake’s hit “God’s Plan” in 2018 as one of only two rap songs to have attained this milestone of over 16 million units sold.

This latest development comes in the context of Drake filing two “pre-action” petitions against Universal Music Group (UMG). These are reports drawn from two “pre-action” petitions that deal primarily with going after Kendrick over the diss track “Not Like Us,” by obtaining information from the rapper and depositions in preparation for possible lawsuits. But, legally, these don’t count as lawsuits and don’t mean anything more than a precursor to them since Drake can choose to stop after asking for further information.

  • Kendrick Lamar’s Surprise Album ‘GNX’ Set to Top Billboard 200 with Massive Debut

Kendrick Lamar’s Surprise Album ‘GNX’ Set to Top Billboard 200 with Massive Debut

Kendrick Lamar’s surprise album ‘GNX’ poised for a huge Billboard 200 debut

Kendrick Lamar’s latest surprise album GNX is expected to have a big first week on Billboard 200 after its stealth release last week.

    HITS Daily Double
predicts that the album containing 12 tracks will garner 291,000 equivalent album units for the week it is released including walking sales of over 30,000.

This will make GNX a number-one debut on next week’s chart, knocking off Wicked, which opens the week with more than 100,000 units.

Being the first-ever release under Kendrick’s name after exiting those Top Dawg Entertainment confines, GNX would soundly become his sixth consecutive number-one album, following To Pimp a Butterfly, untitled unmastered, DAMN, Black Panther: The Album, and Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.
