    Grande remembers late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller

    Arianna Grande pays homage to her late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller on the 10th anniversary of their groundbreaking collab, “The Way,” that took both their careers to another level. A fan page for Arianna shared a clip of the music video to mark the anniversary on social media Sunday (March 26), and the multi-award-wining singer reposted the short video on her Instagram story with the caption “I love you.” She also repeated the same caption in the comments of the original post.

    “The Way” was released in 2013 as a single from Grande’s debut album, Sincerely Yours. The song became Grande’s first Top 10 hit.

    Swimming is the only album by the late Pittsburgh rapper to go platinum. It was released in August of 2018. The album was the final release before the artist passed away in September of that same year.

    J. Cole produced “Hurt Feelings” from Mac Miller’s fifth studio LP, Swimming. Swimming was Mac Miller‘s last album to be released during his lifetime. J. Cole is listed as a producer on the album’s second track ‘Hurt Feelings’. J. Cole is listed on the song’s credits. Jon Brion and Devonté Hynes are also listed in the credits.

    After the news of Mac’s passing, J. Cole tweeted, “This is a message for anybody in this game that’s going through something. If you don’t feel right, if you feel you have a substance problem, if you need a ear to vent to. If you uncomfortable talking to people around you. Please reach out to me.”

    Dealer who sold Mac Miller deadly pills faces 20 years in prison after pleading guilty

    Dealer in Mac Miller’s deadly demise enters guilty plea

    The dealer accused of supplying Mac Miller with fake Percocets pills laced with fentanyl that took the rapper’s life has pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of fentanyl, TMZ has reported. Named Stephen Walter, the dealer faces 20 years or more behind bars, a lifetime supervised release, and $1 million fine. 

    Walter had also been charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance but the count was dropped following the plea deal.

    Prosecutors say Walter indirectly supplied Mac’s alleged dealer, Cameron James Pettit, with counterfeit oxycodone tablets laced with fentanyl, that ended up killing Mac in an overdose incident. 

    As Walter awaits his fate, prosecutors are proposing a 17 years bid plus 5 years of supervised release. At the time he committed the crime, Walter was already under a supervised release from an earlier drug-related case.

    Young Thug unleashed his second studio album, Punk, on Friday with a star-studded feature line up including the late Mac Miller. The Pittsburgh rapper posthumously appeared on the closing track, “Day Before.” 

    Thugger sat down for an extensive hour-long interview with The Breakfast Club where he disclosed that they made the record at his studio the day before Mac died from an accidental drug overdose on  September 7, 2018.

    “I was with Mac the day before he died,” Thug revealed. “He was at my studio and we did the song on my album. This shit is so crazy but coincidental. He came to the studio and did the song with me and the next day he died. And the name of the song is ‘Day Before.’ But the song is about like women … It was like flamboyant.”

    “I think deep on that because is that a sign? At some point, you’re wondering why? Have you ever just wished God could really talk to you?”

    While the Verzache-produced track leaked in 2019 with a verse from Trippie Redd, it’s also the first official collab from Thugger and Mac.

    Earlier, in the month of July, dvsn and Ty Dolla Sign released a new single titled “I Believe It.” The single features the late Mac Miller and will be featured on dvsn and Ty Dolla Sign’s joint album, Cheers to the Memories, set to drop on August 20.

    The Pittsburgh, PA rapper known as Mac Miller was born on January 19, 1992. Real name Malcolm McCormick, shot to fame with his mixtape K.I.D.S. on Rostrum Records. After a run of successful tapes, he dropped his debut Blue Slide Park in 2011.

    A respected rapper, he was also a record producer under various monikers. Sadly, Mac Miller passed away from a drug overdose on September 7, 2018. He released the posthumous works Circles which landed him the highest charting position of his career. It was a companion album to Swimming, his 5th studio album.
