Offset on why Jay-Z is the G.O.A.T: You can’t play with him

    Offset praises Jay-Z’s lyrical ability

Offset joins the long list of rappers who think Jay-Z’s skill in rap is undisputed. During a recent interview on Complex’s GOAT Talk series, Set dubbed Hov the greatest of all time.

“I gotta say Hov, all his shit is platinum,” the “54321” rapper said. “You know sometimes the success is the reason why people say he’s the greatest of all time, what he did after rap. Bro, on rap you can’t play with him since the beginning of time.

“He always had the biggest records, he always got the biggest people and did the biggest records and he still come back and make impactful records right now.”

He added, “If Jay do a verse right now, everybody wanna hear just what the man saying, only 12 bars. You know what I’m saying? ‘Cause he’s knowledgeable, and then he’s so up but his flows be so relatable to the struggle. He might tweak something and say something to let you know he poppin’, but then you got the verse where he talk to the culture.”

The record is produced by Baby Keem and is part of Set’s upcoming untitled album. While interracting with his Twitter followers in late July, Offset said the album’s vibe will be “Fun excitement realness.”

He also confirmed Southside and Metro Boomin’ will appear on the production as well as Cardi B’s feature on the project. He revealed that the longest track on the album will run for 2:40.

Cardi B defends Offset in QC contract controversy

Cardi B is making it clear that she’s on her hubby Offset’s side in the legal battle against Quality Control.

The New York native hopped on social media earlier this week (August 24) flaming people who are ”trying to make Offset look like the bad guy in the struggle.”

“Offset bought himself out his Qc deal after they didn’t want to renegotiate his contract,” she wrote. “I’m tired of people trying to make offset look like the bad guy …..ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!”

Offset recently sued QC for not honoring an agreement where he bought back his solo masters. The label executives, of course, aren’t sitting well with this.

Lil Baby appears to side with QC label

Amid the back and forth between Offset and Quality Control, Lil Baby and the label’s CEO Pierre “Pee” Thomas appear to roast Offset on social media.

Pee posted a video on Instagram story Thursday (August 25) where he asks Baby to read writings from an artwork hanging on the wall. “The show must go on,” Baby said before Pee busted into laughter.

This comes after Offset filed a lawsuit against QC claiming that he spent millions to buy his solo rights back but the label is breaching the agreement.
