DMX may not be with us but The Grand Champ will always live on through his . Swizz Beatz and Ruff Ryders have finally released X’s final album, via Def Jam Recordings.

X truly comes to life on the 13-track album executively produced by Swizz Beatz. His final body of work features a handful of rare collaborations, including the and -assisted “Bath Salts” and “Hood Blues” with ‘s Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine, and Benny Butcher. The late lyricist also collaborated with Lil Wayne, , Moneybagg Yo, , Snoop Dogg, Bono, Usher, and more.

Exodus may have arrived after he passed away, but DMX completed the album prior to his death. Swizz Beatz recently told GQ that X wrapped up his eighth LP well before he passed away from a drug overdose back in April. The rapper, born Earl Simmons, has been recording for the album since last summer after his Verzuz battle with Snoop Dogg. He felt inspired after receiving so much admiration and respect during the event even from his “opponent” Snoop. From that point on, X was recording fresh music and getting in shape so that he could take the album on the road for a tour. The native’s latest collection of songs is full of features for the first time ever, yet Swizz guarantees that the overall sound and authenticity of the album won’t be compromised.

“We wanted people to know that they were in for a hell of a ride out the gate, starting with a classic DMX, Lox, Ruff Riders, Swizz Beatz track,” Swizz says about the intro “That’s My Dog.” “Set the tone, no intro, no nothing. Just as soon as you press play, it gets right to it and those tracks people knew us for.”
