Thug’s father believes ATL rappers could have done more for his son

Young Thug’s father Jeffrey Williams Sr. has lambasted unnamed artists in Atlanta for not showing enough solidarity with his son while he was locked up.

Williams Sr. recently spoke on Nothing But The Truth podcast where he slammed these artists for not publicly protesting his son’s incarceration but trying to link up with him following his release.

“We got all these rappers and everybody trying to find Young Thug,” he began. “They wanna talk to Young Thug, they wanna this, that and the other. Where your ass been for 29 months? Why y’all ass ain’t been out there protesting for his constitutional rights being violated? Y’all are the ones considered to be the influencers. Ain’t influencing shit.”

He added: “Now, you want to talk to him. You want to goddamn put out these monkey-a*s videos. All this, for your personal gain. It’s just for your personal gain. Your personal hype. Trying to make yourself relevant.

“Where have y’all been? Where have y’all Atlanta artists been up until now?”

Thug also recently took a plea

Nichols was involved in a major courtroom outburst earlier last week, which nearly brought the trial to a mistrial. He took the offer on Tuesday (October 29), WSB reported.

Per the terms of the deal, the state dropped all charges against him except one, those included murder and two separate gang charges, as well as being a gun toting felon and a gun possessor during a crime.

In exchange, Nichols cut a plea deal and admitted guilt to conspiracy RICO. A sentence of 20 years was imposed on him, and 7 of them were to be served in confinement with the rest on supervised release. He will also be given a time calculation, which means out of those wade two years are already counted as served.

On October 22, the court dismissed the contempt charge leveled against Steel, according to 11Alive. This happened during Thug’s RICO Trial in June, and it was about Steel seeking a confrontation with Ural Glanville, the then presiding judge over the trial, over an alleged conversation between the Glanville, several prosecutors, and a key witness for the state in court proceedings that morning.

When Judge Glanville asked Steel to tell him how he knew of the meeting, Steel would not divulge the name of the person and was subsequently taken out of the Judge’s courtroom.

At first, Steel was given a 20-day jail sentence to be served on ten consecutive weekends, only for him to escape serving time after being released on bond pending the appeal hearing of the sentence.
