    Youngboy goes off on multiple rappers in new song

    NBA Youngboy released his new mixtape, Richest Opp, on Friday (May12), a few weeks since he dropped his album, Don’t Try This At Home. On the song “Fuck The Industry Pt. 2” that appears on the tape, YB goes after several rappers including Drake, Lil Durk, J. Cole and Lil Yachty.

    The Baton Rouge artist claims that he had once FaceTimed Drizzy who shared his admiration for YB’s work, but the 23-year-old shared his approval of the Toronto rapper’s relationship with Durk.

    Talked to Drake ‘cross FaceTime, he wasn’t feelin’ me, Told me that he fuck with Durk, damn, that shit gettin’ to me, Told me that he like the shit I’m doin’, but can’t do shit with me, So when we cross our ways, fuck what you say, bitch, you my enemy,” Youngboy raps aggressively.

    He also let off a few shots at J. Cole for collaborating with Lil Durk. “J a ho, that nigga played it cold, like he was gon’ do a feature, So I texted his line, a muscle sign, I swear it’s gon’ be nice to meet you,” he spits.

    Youngboy might be going on the road in the near future

    It looks like NBA Youngboy is planning to go on tour after he gets released from his house arrest. On Monday (May 10), Youngboy’s record label Never Broke Again took to its official Instagram page to share the rapper’s latest photos and in the caption, they teased an upcoming tour.

    “‘Don’t try this at home’ Be back outside soon’ who ready for tour,” the caption read.

    The tour will likely be in support for his latest album, Don’t Try This At Home, which debuted at No. 5 on Billboard 200 this week after selling 60K equivalent album units.

    Youngboy is currently serving a house arrest in his Utah home. In March, two of his house arrest restrictions were lifted and he is now allowed to have more than three visitors. The visitors curfew was also removed.

    NBA Youngboy breaks a new record as he is now the youngest rapper ever to earn 100 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He achieved the status this week after his song “Big Truck” debuted at No. 100 on the Hot 100.

    The Louisiana native is now the thirteenth artist with the most entries on the Hot 100, and is sandwiched between Justin Bieber and Eminem who have 105 and 95 entries respectively.

    Youngboy’s sixth studio album, Don’t Try This At Home, is out and spawns the record “Big Truck.” The album has debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 this week with 60K album-equivalent units sold since it’s release on April 21.

    An update for the first week sales predictions for NBA Youngboy’s new album, Don’t Try This At Home, are in. According to HITSDD, Top’s latest release is now projected to move 61K equivalent units placing it at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. This will make Youngboy’s eighth Top 5 project.

    Earlier on, the 33-song effort was predicted to debut within the Top 5 with 60-65K units earned in the first week.

    The album hit streaming platforms on April 21 via Never Broke Again LLC and Motown Records.

    NBA Youngboy held his first ever album release party on Thursday (April 20) for his new drop, Don’t Try This At Home. The rapper had earlier on announced that he would be present at the party virtually via a live stream because he’s still on house arrest. However, during the party, Youngboy didn’t show up on the screen, per a report by TMZ.

    The Baton Rouge rapper’s team shared a statement explaining that technical difficulties prevented the “Mr. Gualden” artist from logging on his live stream. “There was a technical difficulty and they couldn’t get NBA YoungBoy on the live stream,” Youngboy’s estate revealed. “They tried Zoom and FaceTime without any success and unfortunately, NBA YoungBoy was unable to connect with his friends and fans.”

    NBA Youngboy delivered his latest album Don’t Try This At Home on Friday (April 21) and predictions for the first week sales are in. According to HitsDD, the 33-song album is on pace to debut in the Top 5 with 60-65K equivalent album units earned this week. This would make YB’s 14th Top 10 album in less than 5 years.

    The new project is Youngboy’s sixth studio album and his second to be released via Motown Records. It spawned guest appearances from Mariah the Scientist, Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, and Kid Laroi. It received production from his in-house engineers Jason “Cheese” Goldberg and Khris James, as well as Al Geno, D-Roc, Wayv, Yetty, Fresh Ay Yo Benji and more.

    NBA Youngboy has established himself as commercially successful rapper with a cult following behind his back. He is also known for his rapid pace of music output, leading to some questioning the quality of his music. On Thursday (April 13), Youngboy suggested on Twitter that he cares more about quantity and less about quality.
