    Gunna readies new album with preview

    Gunna shares a new snippet produced by Turbo on Instagram. The College Park-born artist previewed the new track on his Instagram story.


    The WUNNA rapper is working on his next album Drip Season 4 which is slated for release this year. He first teased the project in January. The previewed song could potentially be a hint of what fans should expect from the upcoming project.

    DS4 will be a follow-up to his chart-topping WUNNA released last year. It debuted at the top of the charts with over 100k copies sold in the first week.
    Gunna was at the forefront in the making of Slime Language 2 which dropped last month. The project debuted at number one on Billboard Hot 200 with over 100k equivalent units sold in the first week as well.

    Producer Turbo Says He Is Doing Some “Album Work”

    Turbo is working on an album, but who’s?

    Turbo was also the executive producer of Gunna‘s latest album Wunna which peaked at number one on Billboard Hot 200 Chart making it Gunna’s first number one album. A recent tweet from the beat-maker hints that the Drip Or Drown 2 producer is working on a new album. “Album works”, read the tweet.

    Turbo has grown to become a household name and an outstanding producer. The man is behind several platinum-selling records. In 2017, he appeared on We Want Smoke, a compilation album by rappers signed to TI’s label Grand Hustle Records. Later on in 2018, Turbo, along with fellow producer Wheezy executive produced Lil Baby & Gunna’s joint mixtape Drip Harder. Some of the songs he produced on the tape include Never Recover and Close Friends which have both been certified platinum. He also produced the global hit Drip Too Hard which has been certified 3× platinum.

    It’s not really crystalline whether Run that back Turbo is working on his own album or he is producing an album for one of his frequent collaborators. He is also known to work with the likes of Young Thug, Drake and others. Young Thug and Wheezy recently said that they are in album mode. Since Turbo has previously collaborated with the two multiple times, he might have secured a spot on the upcoming album. Stay tuned for more updates on what Turbo is working on.

    Yesterday (April 1st), YSL Records announced that Turbo, Gunna and Young Thug would be releasing a new single. Many thought it was an April Fools Day joke, but it turns out, it’s an actual single.

    “QUARANTINE CLEAN” is the new release from Turbo, Gunna and Young Thug.
