Boosie Badazz hits back at Ralo over Young Dolph slander accusations

    Boosie responds to Ralo

Tensions continued this week between Boosie Badazz and Ralo on account of the late Young Dolph, which has still not been resolved.

On Monday (September 30), the duo clashed when Boosie was seen meeting and praising Yo Gotti publicly immediately after the news broke that a suspect in Young Dolph’s murder had confessed to killing Dolph on behalf of Gotti’s brother who had allegedly put out a bounty.

On the next day, the animosity remained. Ralo took a shot at Boosie to which Boosie replied with a vague tweet on X writing: “N-gga is obsessed SMH.”

Young Dolph murder: suspect claims Yo Gotti’s brother put a hit on rapper

Gotti’s brother implicated in Dolph’s shooting death

Young Dolph’s murder suspect Cornelius Smith has testified that in return for a bounty of $100,000 allegedly offered by Big Jook who is Yo Gotti’s brother, he shot the rapper, The Guardian reported. Smith also said that in November 2021. He and another co-defendant named Justin Johnson walked into a cookie shop in Memphis and killed Dolph in front of many people.

When testifying during Johnson’s trial on September 23, Smith stated that he was indeed the person identified on the monitoring footage aiming a submachine gun and firing shots during the commission of the offense. Johnson, who is tried as the last of the three suspects, claims he was not involved.

The lawyer for Johnson argued that Smith’s testimony was simply to reduce sentence and pleaded his client not guilty.

Ralo questions Boosie Badazz’s respect for Young Dolph after linking up with Yo Gotti

Ralo is not happy with Boosie’s meeting with Gotti

Ralo has a problem with Boosie Badazz as he accuses him of disrespecting the late Young Dolph after sharing a post with Dolph’s rival, Yo Gotti.

On Monday (September 30), Boosie took to social media to post a video showing him embracing Gotti and declaring his pride for the Memphis rapper.

“CONGRATULATIONS!! I SEEN YO COME UP @yogotti ME N DIS N-GGA GO WAY BACK EARLY 2000’s n he looked out for MOMS WHEN I WAS GONE,” captioned Boosie on the post.

Ralo then reposted the video and added his thoughts to it. He reasoned that Boosie’s antics were too soon regarded to the just finished trial of Young Dolph. Which also saw one of the murder suspects, Cornelius Smith, admitting to killing Dolph for a $100,000 bounty placed on him by Gotti’s brother Big Jook.

“Boosie should’ve at least let Dolph family grieve from the trail before he did this lame as shit… and idc what nobody say,” Ralo wrote.

Dolph’s killer claims evidence did not reach conviction requirements

Young Dolph’s convicted killer Justin Johnson is appealing for another trial citing issues with evidence in the trial. Last month, he was convicted of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and first-degree murder, as well as possession of a firearm as a felon.

As reported by the Commercial Appeal in Memphis, Johnson submitted the new trial motion that maintains that the evidence adduced was not sufficient for a conviction. He claims that the jury should not have viewed photographs of Dolph’s corpse and further claims that it was wrong for the court to disallow him from being next to his counsel during the proceedings.

At present, Johnson has been sentenced to a life imprisonment due to the murder conviction and is expecting sentencing for the remaining charges.

Both prosecution & defense have asked for the delay

The trial for Young Dolph’s alleged killers Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith has been pushed back again, according to HipHopDX. The trial was reset to begin on June 3 but Shelby County Judge Jennifer J. Mitchell had to push the date back to September 23 after a filing was made.

“As we all know, this case was set for trial today,” Judge Mitchell said. “I was extremely upset when the lawyers came to me, asking for a motion to continue this case.

“I was really anxious to get this case over and done with starting this week, but they both expressed to the court the desire to get experts in. So I allowed the continuance to occur.”

The trial was initially set to start in March but was moved to June. Both the prosecutors and defense attorneys have requested the delay in order to get their witnesses ready.

Suspect’s defence argues wide media coverage might affect jurors’ judgement

Young Dolph’s murder suspect Justin Johnson claims he is weary of jurors being selected from within Memphis. According to Associated Press, Luke Evans presented a filing to Judge Jennifer J. Mitchell on Friday (February 2), arguing that the extensive press surrounding the case might have an effect on the jurors’ decisions.

“The victim in the case is beloved here,” Evans stated, adding that Johnson and his co-defendant Cornelius Smith have received threats of facing deadly violence in prison. Evans explained that the threats are “seeking vengeance, not justice.”

Judge Mitchell has yet to deliver a ruling.
