The Notorious B.I.G. was in the room when Pete Rock produced the “In The Flesh” from The Main Ingredient.
During a 2013 interview with The MC Report's The Revival web series, Pete Rock revealed that Biggie came to his house one day and watched Pete make a beat. “Notorious came over, he's in my basement and wanted to see how I make beats. Not knowing I would use that beat on the album… I ended up putting it on Pete Rock & CL Smooth's second album, he was right there.” The beat would end up being “In The Flesh” on Pete Rock & CL Smooth's second album, The Main Ingredient.
Pete Rock was an inspiration for one of Biggie's biggest hits “Juicy” and he added to a remix version.
