2 Chainz Announces New Album ‘Dope Don’t Sell Itself’

2 Chainz had previously declared the album his last trap project 

The trap music veteran says he has a new album on the way titled, Dope Don’t Sell Itself. According to Allhiphop, towards the end of his set at HARD Summer festival in California over the weekend (August 1), the Atlanta rapper revealed the album title. “I appreciate y’all. That’s my time,” 2 Chainz told the crowd at the NOS Events Center. “New album on the way – Dope Don’t Sell Itself.”

On July 17, the “Money In The Way” rapper took to Twitter to disclose that the upcoming body of work will be his last trap album. “This gone be my last trap, enjoy,” he tweeted. 

2 Chainz, formerly known as Tity Boy during his days as a Playaz Circle member, has six studio albums under his belt. In recent years, he has released studio efforts like 2017’s Pretty Girls Like Trap Music, 2019’s Rap or Goes to League, and 2020’s So Help Me God
