Kimberly Denise Jones aka Lil Kim was born in NYC in 1974. She is best known for her work with Notorious B.I.G. and Bad Boy Records. She is from Brooklyn and got into rap as part of Junoir M.A.F.I.A. and released her solo debut Hard Core in 1996.
Kim's worked with Diddy, Missy Elliott, Mary J. Blige, Christina Aguilera, Da Brat, and more. In 2005 she served a year in jail for perjury charges. She has become more involved in fashion over the years and is still active as a rapper. More recently she's worked with Fabolous, Faith Evans, and Remy Ma.
She is known as the Queen Bee and is also given the title “Queen of Rap” as well. In 2019 she was honored with the I Am Hip Hop Award at the BET Hip Hop Honors.
