As 2020 is already 1/3rd over, many have already took to social media to express that the first four months of 2020 were better music-wise than all of 2019 combined.
Notable albums that have dropped in 2020 thus far include (in chronological order by release) Circles by Mac Miller, Revenge of the Dreamers III (deluxe) by Dreamville, Funeral by Lil Wayne, My Turn by Lil Baby, Eternal Atake by Lil Uzi Vert, A Written Testimony by Jay Electronica, LUV vs. The World 2 by Lil Uzi Vert, Heaven or Hell by Don Toliver, After Hours by the Weeknd, PARTYMOBILE by PARTYNEXTDOOR, Blame It on Baby by DaBaby, Pray For Paris by Westside Gunn and many more.
Could the album of the year already dropped within the first couple months of 2020? Arguably the top two albums (according to popularity, streams, and sales) of 2020 are Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘Eternal Atake’ and The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours.’
Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘Eternal Atake’ Debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Chart With Biggest Streaming Week Since 2018 and sold 247,000 pure units. The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours’ is still the leading #1 album in its 4th week and sold 275,000 pure units.
There are many big name artists who have also hinted at dropping in 2020. Such as Young Thug, 21 Savage, Migos, Frank Ocean, Lil Uzi Vert, Drake, Rhianna, and more.
Either way, 2020 already looks like it could be one of the best years musically. You can view all the albums dropping in 2020 here.
