Kodak Black isn’t a completely free man, yet, despite Donald Trump’s pardon
On the eve of Donald Trump’s stint as a leader of the free world, he pardoned Kodak Black and many others who faced legal troubles. Despite the pardon, South Carolina prosecutors are continuing their pursuit of the pending sexual assault case against the Florida rapper. The rapper is still free, for now, but that case may haunt him, soon.
Florence County’s 12th Circuit Solicitor informed TMZ that COVID-19 prevented the trial from taking place — a pending case since 2016. They’re still choosing to move “aggressively” toward prosecuting Kodak. Kodak is coming home after serving half his current sentence, which had him for a 2022 release date.
Prosecutors are saying Kodak forced himself on an 18-year-old woman after a February 2016 concert. According to documents, Kodak raped, bit the girls neck and breast. If convicted, Yak is facing up to 30 years in prision.
