    Mustard and Roddy Ricch stack more certifications to “Ballin”

    Mustard and Roddy Ricch’s 2019 smash “Ballin” has earned the two a quadruple platinum plaque, after it sold four million units in the US. The track was released in 2019 as the third single from Mustard’s Perfect Ten album. It peaked at number 11 on Billboard Hot 100, making it the producer’s highest charting song. It was one of the biggest hits of 2019.


    Elsewhere, Gunna is also celebrating some success after receiving five certifications from RIAA. Two tracks from his 2019 album ‘Drip or Drown 2’: ‘Baby Birkin’ and ‘Who You Foolin’ have been certified platinum and gold respectively. The other three tracks are from last year’s WUNNA album: “Dallaz on My Head” featuring Young Thug, “SKYBOX” and “Wunna” which have all been certified gold, meaning they’ve moved half a million units in the US.

    Roddy Ricch dropped one of the biggest hip hop albums towards the end of last year. The project which has since been certified double platinum, cemented RR’s career at the top of the game. Consequently, his fanbase, which has rapidly been growing, can’t wait to see what the Compton star will have to offer on his next album.

    Roddy has been teasing his sophomore album for a while, promising that it will be a masterpiece. He has also previously claimed that it’ll be dropping soon, without providing any more details about the body of work.

    OurGenerationMusic recently quoted Roddy Ricch hinting at the title of his upcoming album. “LOVE IS BARELY REAL ANYMORE….. OTW,” as it’s been reported.


    The ‘Boom Boom Boom’ rapper’s last album was titled Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial which is a whole sentence. It makes sense to assume that the 22-year old might title his next project the same way.

    Nominations for the 63rd annual GRAMMYs has been revealed

    Following the Covid-19 pandemic that led to curfews & lock downs, a lot of artists have been dropping plenty of music to get their fans through these hard times. Due to the steep competition among artists, fans have been anticipating for the list of next year’s Grammys nominees to be revealed. The wait is now over. The 2021 Grammys nominations list have been revealed.

    Among hip hop artists who have secured spots on the award nominations are Roddy Rich, DaBaby, Megan Thee Stallion, Freddie Gibbs, The Alchemist, Lil Baby and Doja Cat. There have also been some grumbles about the nominations. Albums like Pop Smoke’s ‘SFSAFM’ and Lil Baby’s ‘My Turn’ which have been dominating charts couldn’t make it to the Best Rap Album category. The Weeknd didn’t also receive even a single nomination despite his ‘Blinding Nights’ being the biggest chart hit.

    The ceremony, which slated to happen on January 31st next year, will be the 63rd anniversary of Grammy awards. You can peep the nominations below.

    Lil Baby 2020 has been huge, having dropped his album My Turn 9 months ago, his album is 2x platinum and he’s been the go-to guy for the features.

The song has over 1 billion streams on Spotify and steady growing. Aside from his hit song, Roddy has notably made a cohesive body of work that shows off his writing, vocal and rapping ability.

    Throughout this year, Roddy has been hyping up the album, calling it a “masterpiece.”

    “The Box” is the second song on Roddy’s 2019 debut album, Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial. While Roddy is still achieving success from this album, he has made mention that the new album is coming “soon as fuck,” and, it’s a “masterpiece.” I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
